STEP 1 / 4 (Making First Connection)

Troubleshooting at this stage:

  • Verify if you have a modem installed with proper drivers.  Do a Windows Diagnostics check.
  • Verify that you have a 'col' dialup connection.
  • Verify if you are connecting from a right location with 7 or 10 digit dialing.
  • If your World Dialer did connect before, then restart your World Dialer and dial again.

STEP 2 / 4 (Requesting Access)

Troubleshooting at this stage:

  • Check your Anti-Virus program for any Firewall settings.

  • Vista or Windows 7 users:  Make sure that either Windows or any third party software is not blocking your FTP port.

This might require some work to figure out which application and/or service is preventing your FREENET Dialer from functioning normally.

  • If your World Dialer did not connect, then restart your World Dialer and dial again.
